The software supplied provides step-by-step procedures that insure easy, error free, and reliable operation. The system guides the operator through the complete launch sequence requiring almost no intervention thus leaving him more time for other tasks. The complete pre-start communication with the radiosonds (setting the desired frequency, transferring the calibration data) is done automatically after connecting the radiosonde with a cable to the groundstation.
Quick start of software
A special function allows the user to perform a quick re-initialization of the PC in case of a power break-down. In les than 15 seconds the software will continue to display and evaluate the radiosonde data. Therefore, it is not necessary to perform a new radiosonde start after a short power failure.

| Screen display
The screen is divided into two sections. In the upper part, the actual system status is displayed on a live display together with the actual values of the PTU and wind data. The display is updated every second. The lower part is used to display the command menus and all meteorological data in tubular graphical form. WMO messages All WMO and STANAG messages are created in real-time during the ascent of the radiosonde. |
